Department of Mathematics
Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1971 to meet the growing needs of locality. The college is run by the trust comprising the weavers. Prof. W. P. Deshmukh and Prof. A. H. Mehare were eminent faculties of the department. Prof. W. P. Deshmukh (1971-1995) was the first Head of the Department of Mathematics. In the year 1995, Prof. A. H. Mehare (1976-2011) had started his inning as the Head of the department. He was the Chairman of Board of Studies as well as Member of Management Council of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati in the period 2002-2007. Dr. G. U. Khapekar took over as the Head of the Department of Mathematics in the year 2011. He introduced academic activities like Seminars, Projects, Assignments, Group Discussion, Guest Lectures, and Poster Exhibition etc. He attended the ‘10th International Conference on Gravitation, Astrophysics and Cosmology’ at Qui Nhon, Vietnam during 17-22, December 2011 and presented his research paper. UGC, New Delhi funded this participation of the faculty in this International Conference. He completed two minor research projects under UGC Schemes. He has continued the high tradition of the department and further developed it by enriching Remedial Classes for weak students.
